Cookbook Tools

We spend A LOT of time in the kitchen and behind the BBQ so any gizmos or gadgets that cut down our prep time are so worth it!

When we were putting together our ‘Tizer cookbook we made a list of some of the tools we used the most and had to share! If you have any that you recommend, please please please send them our way in the message box below!

Mason Jars are a must for our quick pickled onions, cranberry salsa or any other sauce we make. Since the pandemic the price of these things has gone up drastically but Amazon sells a 12 pack that’s about $2/each (if you find a better deal, let us know!)

If you’re going to smoke or grill anything in large quantities (bacon wrapped pickles, jalapeño poppers, etc) make sure you have an oven safe cooling rack. Not only will this save you a bunch of time putting on and pulling off the grill but it also ensures everything will cook evenly!

To give your appetizers an extra flair, an easy-to-use mandoline/slicer will take your cucumbers, carrots and any other vegetable to the next level.

Citrus is the secret weapon to so many dishes and a lemon juicer and lemon zester will save you a ton of time!

As you may have noticed on our instagram or in our e-cookbook we love our toasted bread. We learned very quickly that 1 basting brush would not be enough for the Snow house with Craig outside basting his meat all of the time! Fortunately, Amazon has a reasonable 4-pack of brushes and more often than not, we will use all in one night!

If you can cook hard boiled eggs perfectly every time, you deserve an award! So often we get distracted and forget to set a timer, crack an egg on our toss in the pot or second guess their “done-ness” and pull them out too early. If you’re like us, an egg cooker is the answer. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

These are just a few of our kitchen time-savers that we hope you find useful too! Less time prepping= more time eating!
